Course Description: This is a single semester, mid-level course in Apologetics. Through the study of primary source material from the classic defenders of the Faith – from Thomas Aquinas to C.S. Lewis – the goal of the class is to prepare students to apprehend arguments that support the essential beliefs of the Christian Faith. We will use the fields of theology, philosophy, history, and the sciences to reveal the truths of the Christian faith and the knowledge of God that we confirm through the revelation of Holy Scripture. Preparing students to uphold Christian beliefs and principles amidst waves of anti-Christian ideologies is important to maintaining their faith. This class will explore topics such as:

  • Thomas Aquinas’ Five Ways
  • Kalam Argument
  • Evidence for Design from Biochemistry
  • The Moral Argument
  • Argument from the Mind

  • Defending the doctrine of the Incarnation

  • Defending Miracles with Science
  • The Absurdity of Modern Worldviews
